Apple Crisp

One of my most favorite desserts ever. It is absolutely amazing when it is served warm with a scoop (or two) of vanilla ice cream or custard or a heap of cream dumped on it.

6 cups baking apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup (110g) butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oatmeal
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon

Spread cut up apples in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with sugar, flour and cinnamon.

Mix together topping of butter, sugar, oatmeal, flour and cinnamon.

Sprinkle topping on apples. Bake at 350 F for 35-45 minutes (until bubbly).
