Creamy Beef Sandwiches

This sandwich is a little different twist than your typical loose meat sandwich or maid rite. We used to have these sandwiches at church youth group get-togethers and I really liked them, so I made them up for my family. For some you may think it's like putting hamburger stroganoff on a bun (like my husband), don't worry it tastes great on a bun!

Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can cream of celery soup, undiluted
1/2 tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Method:
Fry up hamburger and drain if necessary. Add in onion and fry until onions are tender.

Add cream of celery soup, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Heat through and serve on buns.

BBQ Beef Sandwiches

This is a quick and easy sandwich that you almost always have all the ingredients on hand. I like to make these for a big get together with a crowd because I can make it up ahead of time and put the mix in a crockpot.

Serves 4

Ingredients:
1 lb hamburger
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp yellow mustard
1 Tbsp vinegar
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Method:

Fry hamburger and drain off grease. Add in onions and fry for a few more minutes.

Add in rest of ingredients and heat through. Add more ketchup if it needs to be saucier.

***Note: These are also great cooked in a crockpot. Just fry up the hamburger and onion first before adding the rest of ingredients in crockpot.

Chicken Parmesan Melts

I found this recipe in one of the Kraft Food and Family Magazines and can't get enough of them. It's a fun twist on an amazing Italian favorite and it's so easy and fast!

Ingredients:
3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked
1 small jar spaghetti sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
loaf of Italian or French bread
spreadable butter
garlic powder

Method:

Slice chicken breasts into thin slices across the width.

Add chicken and spaghetti sauce to a small sauce pan and heat throughly.

Slice bread in 3/4 -1 inch slices on the diagonal. Butter the bread and sprinkle garlic powder on top. Lay out slices on pizza pan or other sheet pan lined with foil.

Toast bread in oven or under broiler until tops are just starting to turn golden brown.

Take toasts out and spoon chicken on top. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

Put sandwiches back in oven at 350 F/180 C for 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Italian Beef Sandwiches

Serves 4

Ingredients:
1 lb beef roast
1 - 0.7 oz packet of dry Italian Dressing mix
2-3 cups of water
2 baguettes or 8 small rolls

Method:
Add water into crock pot and sprinkle on Italian mix and slightly stir. Add roast to water and cook on high for at least 5-6 hours or until you are able to pull apart the meat with two forks. Shred the meat and add extra water if needed. Let sit in crockpot for another 1/2 hour or so then serve on baguettes or hard rolls.
