Bacon-Wrapped Chestnuts
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup ketchup
2 cans whole water chestnuts, drained
16 oz of 1/8" thick streaky bacon, cut into thirds
toothpicks
Method:
Mix together sugar and ketchup, set aside.
Cut bacon in thirds and wrap pieces of bacon around each water chestnut and secure with toothpicks.
Lay thin in flat baking dish (9x13 inch pan). Pour sauce over them. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350F / 180C.
