British Inspired Quiet Book

A good friend of mine from living in the UK had a little girl this summer. As a keepsake to remind this precious little girl of the wonderful country she was born in, I made this British inspired quiet book for her.  It's a much smaller book than what I've made in the past - only about 6"x8" in size and only 8 pages long, but loaded with some of the best bits and bobs to represent the lovely Brits.

Of course the cover is a Union Jack - official flag of the United Kingdom.

Here is a map of Great Britain with each of the countries represented by a different color - Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Each country attaches with velcro.

Can't go to England with out a cuppa tea - this little teapot hides a special surprise.

It's brewing it's own tea bags inside.

Best known for it's royalty - I couldn't forget the dear Queen Elizabeth.

You can take off and put on her crown...no jewels on this one as the real ones are stored in the Tower of London.

Let's go for a ride on a double decker bus.

The wheels are felt and can be taken off the button hub cabs.

The most well known landmark in London is Big Ben which towers over the Houses of Parliament.  The little hands actually move around.

You can even find a princess in her castle with a drawbridge door and waving flag.

This little guard isn't talking either but will come out of his guard shed.

I love his little furry hat which looks so very real.

And one of my favorite little things about England...the Royal Mail's post boxes even with a little letter to post in it.

I had sooooo much fun making this book and can't wait to make it again if anyone else wants want.  Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in one!!!
