Angel Chicken Pasta

I got this recipe from an old college friend and every time I make it for guests I always get asked for the recipe. It's so good that I bet you are licking the last bit of sauce off of your plate.

Ingredients:

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1/4 cup butter
1 - 7 oz package of Good Season's Italian Dressing Mix
1/2 cup white wine (or chicken broth)
1 - 10 oz can of cream of chicken soup
4 oz cream cheese
1 lb angel hair pasta (or spaghetti or linguine)

Method:

Melt butter and stir in package of dressing. Blend with wine, soup, and cream cheese until smooth. Heat up in microwave but do not boil.

Cut up chicken breasts into thin cutlets and lay flat in a greased baking dish.

Pour sauce over chicken and bake at 350 F/180 C for 30 - 40 minutes. Cook pasta as directed on package. Serve piece of chicken and sauce over cooked pasta.

***Note: When using a white wine in this dish try to use one that you enjoy drinking because the flavor will come through. If you don't like white wine, I would suggest using chicken broth instead.

  1. Very good, hubby gave this a thumbs up! Tried the Good Seasons substitute but found it a touch salty maybe because I only found onion salt (not powder). That is 2 TBSP table salt in addition to the celery salt and garlic salt, right?
