Aunt Tammy's Awesome Chocolate Pie

My Aunt Tammy makes this chocolate pie for many of our family get-togethers and it is fabulous. Get your slice quick because it goes fast!

Ingredients:
1 pkg graham crackers or sleeve of digestive biscuits
1/4 cup melted, butter
1 - 3 oz pkg instant chocolate pudding*
1 - 3 oz pkg instant vanilla pudding*
2 cups milk
2 cups softened vanilla ice cream
1 - 8 oz tub Cool Whip or 2 cups of sweetened whipped cream
1 chocolate candy bar

Method:

Put graham crackers in plastic baggie and crush with a rolling pin. Add melted butter to pie dish along with crushed graham crackers.

Mix butter and grahams together well and use fork to mash crumbs down and around edge of pan to form the crust.

In mixer, add pudding mix and milk. Beat until mixed. Add ice cream and mix well.

Pour into graham cracker crust and chill. Top with Cool Whip and use vegetable peeler to make chocolate shavings to top the pie.

***Note: In the UK, you can use a product called Angel Delight which is like American instant pudding. If you can't find vanilla, I'm sure butterscotch would substitute well. If you are not able to purchase Cool Whip, you can make homemade sweetened whipping cream to top the pie with. Instead of graham crackers, crush up a small package of plain digestive biscuits for the crust.
