Beer-Boiled Pork Sausages

We love German food and really miss our beer brats from the States so we put a twist on an English sausage. We boil them in beer and adds lots of sauerkraut and they taste like mini brats and when it's not tailgating season this is a great way to cook a family favorite in the oven.

Ingredients:
6 pork sausages (or bratwurst)
1 bottle of beer
1 1/2 cups sauerkraut

Method:

Pour beer in sauce pan. Add pork sausages. Bring to a boil and continue to boil for 7-8 minutes.

Next to give the sausages a crisper outside fry them in a fry pan on med-high heat until they brown slightly or bake broil them in the oven for a few minutes. Place sausages/bratwurst into baking dish and cover with sauerkraut. Bake at 350 F / 180 C for 20 minutes.
