Christmas Baking Season is Here

This week I start my annual Christmas cookie baking. I have a few recipes that I make almost every year, but this year I am going to try out a few new ones as well.

I do have a few favorites as well that I am not able to make because I just can't get the right ingredients while living in the UK, but I'll include the recipes. If anyone in the US can make them and send me a picture I'll post it on my blog!!!!

Here is what I am making this year:

Old favorites:
  • Christmas frosted sugar cookies (Butter Cookies)
  • Peanut Butter Blossoms (or Chocolate Star Cookies)
  • Almond Bark Pretzels
  • Spritz Cookies

New to try this year:
  • Oreo Balls
  • Easy Handmade Truffles
  • Peppermint Pinwheels
  • Chocolate Covered Cherries
  • Peanut Butter Mice
  • Chocolate Mint Dreams

Old favorites I can't make:
  • Puppy Chow
  • Chex Mix
  • Almond Bark Tidbits
  • Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Captain Crunch Treats

***Note: My family and I don't eat all of these ourselves. I usually make up Christmas platters for all the get-togethers we have or attend, and I also give them away as Christmas gifts.

  2. Corrina-Please post all those recipes. I am still making a lot of your recipes and loving them!! I get excited when you add something new. Are the oreo ball actually called "Oreo Truffles"?? There is a recipe for these on allrecipes.com. I made them last year and they are SO GOOD!!!!!!! Are they the ones with cream cheese and then dipped in chocolate? Yummy!! I love Christmas goodies! Can't wait for the recipes!
