The Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

A fun thing to make and definitely to eat is a giant chocolate chip cookie. I used the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and baked it on my Pampered Chef round pizza stone and it turned out amazing. Giant cookies are great for any occasion - birthdays, BBQs, play dates, and more. I used only half the batch to make this one cookie so you can make two giant cookies or make some extra small cookies or indulge and eat the leftover cookie dough!!!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup white sugar (caster sugar)
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (or more if you love chocolate like me)

Method:
Preheat oven to 375 F/ 190 C. Beat together butter and sugars. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well. Add in flour, salt and soda. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.

Taking half of the batter carefully spread it out on a pizza stone or ungreased pizza pan.

Spread it out until it's about 3/8 inch thick (be aware that it will spread out 1 or so inches when it bakes). Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Cut like a pizza to serve.

***Note: Let the cookie fully cool before decorating if using frosting. You could also serve it warm with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
