The sun is getting hot and summer has just started. Last year I made these little sun hats for my kids and they loved them. They were super easy to make and my kids were guaranteed to have the only ones like them. The pattern I used was the Butterick B5056 - Design A.
My little girl loves Dora so this fabric was perfect for her.
The brim of the hat has a slight curve to help cover those little eyes, ears and necks.
My little guy LOVES Lightning McQueen, so a CARS hat was perfect for him.
The inside lining is all hand-stitched in, but the whole project takes me about an hour (or a little more if the kids keep wanting to see what mommy's doing).
