BBQ Chicken Stromboli

This is a family favorite and the dish I make when I mix up a batch of cinnamon rolls because I like to use the sweet roll dough. You could easily use a bread dough mix or thawed out frozen bread dough. You can also fill it with whatever you like as well. We like a zangy BBQ sauce with cheddar cheese.

Ingredients:
2 cups shredded chicken
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1 cups shredded cheese (chedder, Red Leicester, colby)
prepared bread dough (I like to use my own Sweet Roll dough)

Method:

Mix BBQ sauce in with shredded chicken.

Roll out dough into a rectangular shape and about 1/4 inch thick. Layout dough on a baking sheet that is long enough for your stromboli. Spread out a line of cheese down the middle. Then spread out the BBQ chicken and then sprinkle more cheese on top. Reserve about 1/4 cup of cheese for later.

Fold up the ends and pinch them together in the middle. Then pull and tuck the sides of the dough in underneath. Sprinkle your 1/4 cup reserved cheese on top.

Bake at 350 F/180 C for 25-30 minutes or until the dough is a nice golden brown color. Slice off pieces to serve.
