Chocolate Covered Marshmallows

This is a great little treat that can serve as a fun decoration for any frilly party. I made these chocolate covered marshmallows for my daughter's princess party and they were a hit with the little princesses and their moms! I was able to make them up a day in advance and then create a fun centerpiece the day of the party.

Ingredients:

180 g (7 oz) Cadbury's Chuck Chocolate for Baking
Approximately 30 large marshmallows
Wooden skewers
Candy sprinkles

Method:

First cut all the points off of the wooden skewers with a pair of scissors. Then stick the ends of the skewers into the marshmallows.

Melt the chocolate as directed on the bag (usually will be in the microwave or on a double boiler). Holding the skewer at roughly a 30 degree angle roll the marshmallow in the melted chocolate until about 3/4 of it is covered. This particular type of chocolate was nice and thick so it didn't drip much so that was nice.

Next hold the coated marshmallow over a small bowl and sprinkle with candies.

To help hold the skewers upright while the chocolate dries, you can fill a tall bowl with rice and stick the skewers in evenly spaced. After a few hours when the chocolate has hardened, store the marshmallow skewers fully enclosed in large plastic bags.

Finally to display, I utilized some decorative pots I had, stuck in a green foam floral block and stuck the skewers right in. I finished them off the pot with some pink and purple crepe paper strips I made for filler.
